A man in Florida looked out his porch window, to see hundreds of crabs climbing on the screens. The heavy rains had caused the land crabs to seek higher ground, when their burrows flooded. Dan Skowronski says it happens about once a year, and they’re more scared of him, than he is of them.

Some scuba divers were diving off the coast of Australia, when a large manta ray named Freckles, kept swimming up to them and turning over. They realized she had fish hooks stuck below her eye, and was asking for help! Freckles hovered in front of Jake, the diving guide, while he removed the hooks.

Today is Shark Awareness Day. There are over 400 species of sharks, from the 7-inch dwarf lanternshark, to the 60-foot whale shark. Only 34 shark species have ever made a rare attack on a human, but humans kill over 100,000,000 sharks per year. You’re actually 20 times more likely to get killed by a cow, than a shark!

Measure the length of your cheesey noodles, since today is also Mac And Cheese Day. Then try to measure a wet dog with your cheese-covered ruler. That’ll cause real pandemonium!

The Sheffield City Council announced yesterday, that their hopscotching world record attempt was official. In May, the British town had set the new world record for most people playing hopscotch simultaneously! 664 local children and residents took Move More Month seriously, by jumping their way into the record books. Congratulations!
