He invented a floorboard tonic to silence all the noises. The spray, called Stop Creak, is made with teflon. He’s now helped over 8000 homes get quieter floors!

Holographic Animals Hit the Circus

A German circus has entertained crowds since 1976, but they’ve stopped using live animals in their acts, to take a stand against animal cruelty. Instead, Circus Roncalli uses holograms! 3D holographic elephants, horses, and even fish, are created with projectors, and are just as spectacular. Plus, they’re a lot cheaper to feed!

I Brought My Own Bag

Finally, there’s a reusable bag big enough to hold all your groceries. The Cotton Bag Company, Varn, and students at the Fitzmaurice Primary School in England, created the world’s largest shopping bag out of jute vegetable fiber. It’s over 73 feet wide, 47 feet high, and holds 1,898,794 water bottles! It’ll soon become smaller bags and pencil-cases.

A Little Bike Ride

Today is the first day of the 106th Tour de France, a 2162 mile-long bicycle race. Cyclists will start near Brussels Belgium, and travel counter-clockwise through France over a period of 23 days. They even have to bike through the Alps mountains! 22 teams with 8 riders each will compete, and sweat enough to flush a toilet 39 times!

New Eco-Friendly Wrappers

The Nestley Company’s Yes! snack bars will soon be wrapped in a new recyclable paper, that can biodegrade in 6 months. They did not patent the technology, because they hope other companies will also start using it on their production lines. Nestley’s goal is to make all their packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.

Entertain by Debit or Credit?

A transportation company in Ohio, knows how to keep its workers happy. They got office kittens! The Finance and IT department rescued 2 kitties, and named them Debit and Credit. The kittens entertained everyone, including 16,000 Instagram followers, until they were adopted into their forever homes. Maybe fostering kittens will become a new job perk!
