In the U.S., the Midwest and Northeast will be the coldest, hitting minus 24° Fahrenheit. Factor in the wind, and it will feel like 50° below 0!

During their record-setting heat wave, with temperatures of 116° Fahrenheit, the snakes are seeking cooler places to hide out. People are finding snakes in their showers and toilets, just trying to find water and escape the heat!

A grocery store in New Hampshire dealt with a problem in an unexpected way. When cash registers at the Hannaford supermarket stopped working, there were about 50 people in line. Instead of asking people to come back later, they just gave everyone their groceries for free! What a generous solution!

Bo Rodriguez has a pool at his home in Texas. His security cameras show, he’s not the only one enjoying it! A group of raccoons were running around the pool, in the middle of the night, swimming and having a great time! The pool party broke up when a neighbor’s dog started barking.

By focusing on a star until some of its light is blocked by a passing object, called occultation, they spotted a planetesimal less than a mile wide, near Pluto!

3 year-old Casey Hathaway had been playing with friends in his great-grandmother’s backyard last week, when he went missing. The weather was bitterly cold, as hundreds of rescuers searched for him for 2 days. When they finally found him, he said a bear had been keeping him company! Other than a few scrapes, he’s just fine.
