Today, for the first time since 2011, astronauts will launch from the United States. NASA’s Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will be the first passengers, on the private company SpaceX’s Crew Dragon. The rescheduled blastoff to the International Space Station is set for 3:22 pm, Eastern Daylight Time, if weather permits. Watch it happen on NASA.gov.

Yesterday, the largest all-electric commercial aircraft, took its first flight. The Cessna Grand Caravan can carry 9 passengers, with zero emissions. The eCaravan will be a way to fly goods and people over shorter distances, without polluting the atmosphere with harmful carbon emissions. It also saves money on fuel costs!

How Many Miles of Yarn?

With extra time on their hands, a lot of people have been knitting. Knitters from all over the world, collaborated to create the world’s longest bunting. The string of 79,001 decorative flags, stretches 9 miles! The individual triangular pennants have different patterns, flowers, or messages. The bunting will be displayed around England this summer.

Turkey on Wheels

The Odd Man Inn, in Washougal Washington, is home to many rescued farm animals. One resident, a 60-pound turkey named Bill, needed some extra care, to regain the ability to walk. He has a special wheelchair, made out of a canine Walkin’ Wheels, and a maternity girdle! His therapy is rolling along nicely.
