The launch in Florida has been rescheduled to Saturday, at 3:22 pm Eastern Time. You can watch the Crew Dragon blastoff on NASA.gov.

Have you ever heard of Swallows Return To San Juan Capistrano Day? It happens in March, when the migratory birds come back to Argentina. Well, today is The Slugs Return From Capistrano Day! It’s a joke, because slugs don’t migrate, and they only travel 40 feet a night. See if any are in your garden!

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many seniors are graduating without the traditional ceremonies and celebrations. In Ohio, 3 bus drivers from Loveland High Schools, paid their own tribute to seniors. They arranged 22 buses to form the numbers 2020, and filmed it with an aerial drone. Their wishes for the Class of 2020, echo everyone’s, everywhere. Congratulations, Graduates!

Today, for the first time since 2011, astronauts will launch from the United States. NASA’s Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will be the first passengers, on the private company SpaceX’s Crew Dragon. They will blastoff to the International Space Station at 4:30 pm, as long as the weather is acceptable. Watch it happen on NASA.gov.

It’s Grape Popsicle Day, and Sun Screen Day. 11 year-old Frank Epperson invented popsicles in 1905, when he left a stick in his grape soda and it froze. They were originally called Eppsicles! Apply your sunblock, then enjoy popsicles in the sun!

Today is Cellophane Tape Day. Invented in 1930, clear tape does more than seal packages. Artist Mark Jenkins, uses tape to make sculptures! Last week, a truck overturned in Tennessee, spilling 40,000 pounds of mac-and-cheese, all over the highway. Luckily, no one was hurt. The pasta and powdered cheese weren’t even cooked. You would’ve needed a gigantic kitchen!

When Jos Baart heard noises outside his window in Belgium, he found a family of birds nesting on his balcony. It was a huge Eurasian eagle owl, with a 5-foot wingspan, and her 3 babies. The giant chicks enjoy spending hours watching tv with Jos, staring through the window. He hopes they’ll be lifelong friends!

Members of a church in Oklahoma, gathered on a Zoom call, to sing “Don’t Worry Be Happy.” They used kitchen utensils, microwaves, and appliances, to accompany themselves.
