What Memories Will Go in Your Scrapbook?

The school year, and life in general, is pretty different during the pandemic. Since it’s Scrapbook Day, make a book showing your experiences. Add a handprint, and draw soap bubbles. You could include photos of your classmates on the computer, or loved ones you’ve been missing. Will you add a piece of toilet paper?

Skies Full of Stars and Butterflies

Today is International Astronomy Day. Plan an evening of stargazing, by looking up some constellations, so you know what to search for tonight. While it’s light out, look for orange and black butterflies. It’s Start Seeing Monarchs Day! Plant milkweed for them to eat, and they may even lay eggs on it!

Jonathan accomplished the feat of throwing 54 wet sponges in 30 seconds, with 43 of them successfully hitting David in the face. Party Poopers Spread Chicken Manure

The city of Lund, in Sweden, found an interesting way to discourage people, from partying in the park. The last day of April, tens of thousands of people usually attend the Walpurgis Night festival. Since the COVID-19 pandemic would make the celebration dangerous, the city spread one ton of chicken poop throughout the park.

Planting A Tsunami of Trees

Pakistan has created 63,000 new jobs, to reforest the country. The government needs employees, for the 10 Billion Tree Tsunami campaign. The goal is to plant 20,000,000 saplings by the end of the year, as part of the ongoing project. Planting trees is an essential way, to fight climate change and produce cleaner air.

Make Space for Love

Tuba players rejoice. It’s Tuba Day! Practice outside, so everyone can enjoy it. Today is also Global Love Day, and entertaining others is one way, to show your love for everyone. While we’re at it, let’s spread the Global Love beyond Earth, because it’s Space Day as well. How many planets can you name?

Don’t Forget Your Pants

Oops! A TV news reporter working from home, misjudged how much of his outfit would show, during a news broadcast. He was all dressed up on top, but he wasn’t wearing pants! His workout shorts didn’t really match his suit coat. That’s something to keep in mind, for your next Zoom meeting for school!

May the Legos Be With You

Matt Hines loves Star Wars, and LEGO bricks. In fact, he has more Star Wars LEGO sets than anyone in the world. He has 620 unique sets, as well as many duplicate sets. Even Matt doesn’t have them all. There are about 40 rare sets that he’s unlikely to find. He’s already pre-ordered 2 new Mandalorian sets!

Tea-P’d With Love

Before toilet paper was in short supply, people sometimes TP’d houses as a prank. The Infusion Tea Company in Florida, will Tea-p houses for you. Instead of stringing rolls of toilet paper through the trees, they hang a bag with 2 rolls of paper and packages of tea, on a “You’ve been Tea-p’d” sign.
