Crocs, the colorful foam shoes with holes in them, have come up with some crazy designs. There have been Crocs with tube socks, Crocs with bumbags, and Crocs with KFC chicken charms. Their newest limited edition is a collaboration with Peeps. The glittery yellow shoes look sugar-coated, and come with removable marshmallow chick charms!

The Perth Festival in Australia, hosted the largest air guitar session in the world. 3722 people did their best impressions of guitar players, led by Australian air guitar champion Alex Roberts, known as Jinja Assassin. The record-breaking group performed Highway to Hell, by AC/DC, and didn’t miss a single note!

Large Cheese Pizza With a Puppy on Top

A pizzeria in New York is helping dogs get adopted, by attaching photos of the pooches to their delivery boxes. Just Pizza and Wings Company, teamed up with the Niagara SPCA, to find homes for pups at the shelter. The restaurant is even giving out gift certificates, to help with the adoption cost.

Life Without Oxygen

Scientists have discovered a form of multicellular life, that doesn’t need oxygen to survive. It’s a jellyfish-like parasite, that livs inside salmon without needing to breathe. Henneguya salminicola has no mitochondria, which are found in the cells of almost every other living thing! The cnidarian could change thoughts, on the search for extraterrestrial life.

Pounds of Pound Cake

Since today is Pound Cake Day, here’s an easy recipe! Cream one pound of butter, and gradually add one pound of sugar. Mix in one pound of eggs, then add a pound of flour a little at a time. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Do you see why it’s called pound cake?

Whether you call it Marching Band Day or Marching Music Day, March 4th is the perfect day to march forth! If you know the difference between fourth and forth, or between their there and they’re, you’ll probably enjoy that today is also Grammar Day. Have a contest, to find the most unnecessary apostrophes!

Where’s the Fire?

In the Philippines, the Bureau of Fire Protection started Fire Prevention Month, by setting a world record. 242 fire trucks drove in a parade through Manila, breaking the record of 220 in Oklahoma. Luckily, there were no fires during the parade. It sounds like all of their vehicles were busy breaking records!

Frequent Flyer Delays Flight

A GoAir flight in India, was delayed by an unauthorized passenger. A pigeon had boarded the plane! He was flying around the passenger compartment, delaying takeoff for 30 minutes, before the crew was able to shoo him out the door. Maybe the bird wanted to try flying like humans for a change!

Surfer Washed Away

A 150-foot-tall surfer was spotted on an English beach last week. Artist Claire Eason created the drawing in the sand, by using a garden rake. She also used a drone, to check on the sketch’s progress from above. The huge work of art was washed away, as soon as high tide came in.
