The License to Watch job will pay someone more than $600, to watch the films over 24 consecutive nights, and record their thoughts. They’ll also get a top-secret assignment. Smoothing the Path to Goalie

42-year-old Dave Ayres drives a zamboni for the Toronto Maple Leafs. But this weekend, he went from ice-resurfacer, to professional ice hockey player! The Maple Leafs were playing the Carolina Hurricanes, when both goalies were injured. Ayres stepped in to play goalie for the Hurricanes, and blocked 8 out of 10 shots, to help them win 6-3!

Pastries, Nuts, and Pancakes

Today is Paczki Day, Fastnacht Day, and Pancake Day. Paczki is a Polish jam or custard-filled donut, and fastnacht is a German pastry. IHOP restaurants will celebrate by giving out free pancakes! Biggest Flock of Fake Flamingos

The Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort, in South Carolina, was overrun with flamingos last week. 3753 pink plastic garden flamingos, formed a world-record-breaking flock on the lawn. The resort had teamed up with Pledge the Pink, a breast cancer charity race. Each flamingo represented enough money raised for one mammogram.

Snakes Aren’t That Scary

Animal rescuers responded to some false alarms in England last week. A woman was terrified to leave her home, when a snake on her windowsill wouldn’t leave. It wasn’t moving, because it was a toy snake! Then a man reported seeing snakes in his bedroom. Further investigation revealed it was only a cloth strap.
