This year marks the 20th anniversary of Star Wars Lego sets. What better way to celebrate, than by breaking a world record at the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago! 36,440 LEGO Stormtrooper minifigures, were arranged in the shape of a giant Stormtrooper helmet, to capture the record for largest display of Star Wars minifigures.

CLast week, the world saw the first-ever image of a black hole. It was called M87*, named after the galaxy that contains it, Messier 87, followed by the symbol for a black hole, an asterisk. It now has a new name: Pōwehi. It’s a Hawaiian word meaning, embellished dark source of unending creation.

Illinois’s Upper Mississippi River Refuge, is home to an unusual family of eagles. Two dads and a mom, are raising 3 eagle chicks together! Mom Starr laid 3 eggs, and dads Valor 1 and Valor 2 are now helping her take care of the eaglets. You can watch the nest on YouTube, by searching Trio Eagle Cam.

There’s a bizarre flatworm living in the ocean, that doesn’t have a mouth or a butt. Scientists have been studying Paracatenula, to see how it survives. It seems the worms are filled with a bacteria called Riegeria. The bacteria live in their bodies, and produce organic compounds to feed their flatworm friends from inside!

Drones are unmanned aerial vehicles. The remotely controlled aircraft can be used to have fun, take pictures, go into combat, or even plant trees! BioCarbon Engineering has been using flying robots to plant millions of acres of trees. The drones fire seed pods into the ground. 2 people and 10 drones, could plant 400,000 trees per day!

They are very intelligent, have excellent eyesight and hearing, and can make a wide range of sounds. There are 40 different species of dolphin. The Amazon River dolphin is pink!
