10-year-old Ryan Hickman visited lawmakers in Washington DC last month, to push for a new recycling bill. He wants the United States to have standardized recycling labels, to make recycling less confusing. They will reduce garbage contamination of recyclables. Ryan should know, because he started his own recycling company when he was 3!

When Risto Mattila visited Hailuoto Island in Finland last week, he was surprised to see the beach covered in large balls of ice. Ice balls are formed when pieces of ice are rolled around by wind in rough waters. Some were as big as soccer balls! Look up “Finnish ice balls” to see photos!

NASA’s powerful Hubble telescope, has spotted a galaxy in the constellation Aries. It’s twice as big as our own Milky Way. Unlike our galaxy, it does not have a bar of bright light through the center. It’s classified as a peculiar galaxy, because it’s stretched out, and has one twisted and distorted spiral arm.
