Let’s Eat Some Corny Food

Today is Tamale Day. Cornmeal dough, called masa, is stuffed with sweet or savory fillings, wrapped in leaves, and steamed. They’re delicious! If you prefer your cornmeal on a stick, it’s also Corn Dog Day! They are thankfully not actually dogs, but weenies on a stick, dipped in corn batter, then fried.
