Dark Sky Sanctuary Named In Oregon

DarkSky International, has named the Oregon Outback, the world’s 19th dark sky sanctuary. The area covers 3,800 square miles, and is protected from light pollution. Lights are retrofitted, to keep them from shining upwards, into the night sky. The high desert is sparsely populated, mostly public lands, and superb for stargazing.
