Farmers place scarecrows in fields, to scare birds away from their crops, but have you ever heard of one in the water? Conservationists developed an aquatic scarecrow called the Looming Eyes Buoy, to prevent seabirds from diving into fishing nets, and getting trapped. It’s basically a big pair of googly eyes, on a pole.
