Eggs Come in a Variety of Packages

Did you know it’s World Egg Day? Ostrich eggs can weigh nearly 6 pounds! Vervain hummingbird’s tiny eggs are only 10 mm long. Snake eggs are leathery, frog eggs are clear and jelly-like, and whelk eggs are laid in colied, papery strands. Even some mammals lay eggs, like duck-billed platypuses and echidnas. How egg-citing!
