Expensive Checkmate

In 1964, an antiques dealer bought an old chess piece for $6. It was recently rediscovered by the man’s family, stored in a drawer. It turns out the piece, called the Warder, is part of the Lewis Chessmen, with ivory pieces carved in Norway in the 12th or 13th century. The Lewis Warder could be worth $1,300,000!
