Asian Elephant Calf Gets a Name

The Smithsonian Zoo in Washington D C, has named its new baby elephant. She’s an Asian elephant, and her name is Linh Mai, which means spirit blossom in Vietnamese. Asian elephants are endangered in the wild. The elephant calf was walking on her own within 5 hours of being born!
