Landing on Ryugu

Wednesday was a big day for the asteroid Ryugu. It got a visitor! The Japanese Hayabusa-2 probe, landed on the asteroid’s surface. The probe had been making observations since June, but has landed in order to explore, and collect rock samples. It’ll start the 5,500,000-mile journey back home, at the end of the year.
