Micrometeoroid Causes Micro Damage

The James Webb Space Telescope, has a 21-foot mirror, made of segments. One of the segments was hit by a micrometeoroid. The massive telescope is nearly a million miles from Earth, so it’s impossible to conduct repairs, but NASA designed it to withstand minor impacts. The telescope can re-adjust its own mirrors.
