Perfectly Preserved in Permafrost

A cave lion cub from the Ice Age, has been discovered in Siberia. Researchers say the 28,000-year-old cub, nicknamed Sparta, is extraordinarily preserved. She was mummified by the ice, and her whiskers, fur, teeth and organs, are still intact. Cave lions were bigger than modern lions, with heavier fur, but without the big mane.
