A 7,000,000-Mile Journey Ends

Yesterday’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, was a success. After flying 7,000,000 miles, a spacecraft the size of a vending machine was smashed into an asteroid, to slightly change its course. NASA launched the spacecraft nearly a year ago, and everyone was overjoyed that it hit its target.
