Today is Biographer’s Day, so interview a friend, family member, or anyone else you think is interesting, and write their biography. Maybe someone would like to write your biography too.

Today is Do Something Good For Your Neighbor Day. It’s nice to make people happy! It’s also Love A Tree Day. Hug your favorite tree, and thank it for giving you shade and oxygen. Since it’s Drawing Day too, maybe you can draw a picture of a lovely tree, to give to your neighbor!

Every year, more than 18,000,000,000 diapers are discarded in United States landfills, taking hundreds of years to decompose. HIRO diapers aim to change that. They are designed to be eaten by fungi. Each diaper comes with a packet of fungi, to be tossed with the used diaper. The fungi turn the diaper, into soil.

In 2018, a flying duck triggered a speed camera in Switzerland. The duck was going 32 in a 12 miles-per-hour zone. Exactly 7 years later to the day, the same camera captured another duck whizzing past at the same speed. Officials can’t be sure, but it could be the same duck, trolling law enforcement.

A group of students at Purdue University, designed a puzzle-solving robot, named Purdue-bik’s Cube. Their robot set a new world record for robots, by solving a Rubik’s cube in 103 milliseconds. In comparison, it takes about 200 to 300 milliseconds to blink your eyes. Before you realize it’s moving, it’s done.

Today is Chocolate Chip Day. Will you use them in pancakes, cookies, or pizza? You decide! It’s also Bring Flowers To Someone Day. Your bouquet doesn’t have to be fancy. Pick a bunch of dandelions and clover. Lots of weeds have beautiful little flowers, so you can make a micro-bouquet.

Today is Relive Your Past By Listening To The First Music You Ever Bought No Matter What It Was No Excuses Day. Don’t be embarrassed by your early musical tastes! Listen with your family, since it’s also International Day Of Families. Make time for your family today, and be nice to each other.

17-year-old Maya Merhige is on a mission, to swim the Oceans Seven, which are the most difficult open-water swims in the world. She has crossed the English Channel, the Catalina Channel near California, and Hawaii’s Moloka’i Channel. Her latest accomplishment was swimming New Zealand’s Cook Strait, while getting stung by jellyfish for 14 hours.

Cedar Point Amusement Park, in Ohio, also has a petting zoo. Last year, a pair of camels escaped, and wandered around the park. A few days later, a herd of goats got loose. This season began, with a trio of alpacas breaking out of the petting zoo. They toured the park, delighting visitors.
