There are plenty of stories, about how smart octopuses are. The cuttlefish is another type of clever cephalopod. Scientists did an experiment often used with children, to see if cuttlefish could learn to refuse a treat, if they knew they’d get a better one later. Like humans, chimpanzees, and crows, they passed the test.

In 1951, 2 men were arguing about which bird was the fastest game bird in Europe. They decided to make a book, containing the fastest, longest, and most, of everything. That’s how the first Guinness Book of Records was born. For Guinness World Records Day, look up some crazy records. Could you beat them?

Today is Universal Children’s Day. The United Nations established the day, to celebrate awareness and togetherness of all the world’s children, and also focus on improving children’s welfare. How are kids around the world like you? Maybe kids in refugee camps, share your love for soccer, chocolate, outer space, or laughter and love.

Do you try to exercise and eat good food for your body? One thing no body needs, is cigarettes. Make a promise to never smoke or vape, to celebrate the Great American Smokeout. Challenge any relatives who smoke, to give it up for at least one day. Their lungs will be so happy!

Today is Peanut Butter Fudge Day. Make a batch and share with me! It’s also Name Your PC Day. My name is Alexa; shouldn’t all personal computers have names? For Absurdity Day, celebrate strange things, like sharing fudge with your newly-named computer. Be silly, ridiculous, and absurd, and have fun!

The Tsavo National Park in Kenya, is home to endangered elephants. Farmers living along the park’s border, used to have problems with elephants eating and trampling their crops. Now, they keep African honey bees in hives along the fence line. The hum of 70,000 bees, scares elephants away, and honey is a bonus crop.

You know what’s awesome? Toilets! It’s World Toilet Day! 2.5 billion people in the world don’t have toilets, so be thankful for yours, and keep it clean! It’s also Play Monopoly Day. The original version was created in 1935, but new versions are released every year. You might even find one for your town!

Your family will love listening to them. It’s also Camp Day, so bring your bagpipes to play around the campfire, while you’re camping.

If you’ve ever felt grumpy when someone told you to have a nice day, you’re going to love today. It’s Have A Bad Day Day! Everyone has a bad day once in a while, so get it over with. It’s also Carbonated Beverage With Caffeine Day. Just say Coke or Pepsi if you’re lazy.
