Bees Keep the Peace

The Tsavo National Park in Kenya, is home to endangered elephants. Farmers living along the park’s border, used to have problems with elephants eating and trampling their crops. Now, they keep African honey bees in hives along the fence line. The hum of 70,000 bees, scares elephants away, and honey is a bonus crop.
