To celebrate Root Beer Float Day, A&W restaurants are giving them away! Originally called a black cow when it was first invented in 1893, the drink is simply root beer with vanilla ice cream. Drink it while giving your toes a little freedom in the sand, grass or water. It’s Wiggle Your Toes Day!

Catching Air

The Conifox Adventure Park in Scotland, is opening the world’s longest inflatable obstacle course tomorrow. The Tartan Titan is 1,863 feet long, and has 50 obstacle sections like “The Corkscrew,” “Tidal Wave,” and “Ninja Run.” It will only be open to the public until August 16th, so bounce over quickly!

When Douglas Robert and Tamiris Muzini got married, a stray dog who’d been wandering around the church, sat in the doorway watching the wedding ceremony. As they walked out the door as a married couple, the dog got excited and came with them. They decided to adopt the stray poochie, naming him Braiá Carmelo.

What color is at the top of a traffic signal? In the United States, it’s red, but it could be different in other countries. In Iceland, some lights have smiley faces on them! Some places have a yellow light to warn you, before the light turns green. International Traffic Light Day celebrates them all.

Policing On the Fly

Yesterday, police officers in New Zealand, had an unusual passenger take a ride-along with them. They’d found a tiny owl wandering in the street, that had been clipped by a car. They kept him in the car to recover. The owl soon regained his senses, and they released their honorary officer to the wild.

Hello My Name Is ANNA

Imperial moths are large and brown, with unique yellow markings. Last weekend, Reagan Lewallen spotted a 5-inch imperial moth in Georgia, with the name “Anna” spelled in capital letters, underneath an image of a face. Luckily, she snapped a photo of the unusual design on the moth’s back, so everyone can see the awesomeness.
