In 1928, red streaks on a wall inside Bacon Cave, in Mumbles Wales, were concluded to be iron oxide. 98 years later, a new analysis found the streaks were actually the United Kingdom’s oldest prehistoric art. The cave paintings are more than 17,000 years old, and face a wall with graffiti from 1894.

The 2028 Summer Olympics will take place in Los Angeles California, but a massive cleanup of the San Gabriel and Los Angeles Rivers is needed first. Ocean Cleanup, an organization working on removing the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, will send their Interceptor. The barge can remove thousands of pounds of trash every year.

A stray cat in Oklahoma, showed up on the Price family’s porch last month. The cat, now feeling safe, soon gave birth to 5 kittens. A few days later, the cat showed up with one more mouth to feed. She was nursing a fuzzy baby bunny, alongside her own kittens!

Playing in the dirt, can be good for your health. A daycare in Finland planted the yard with forest undergrowth, and let the children care for crops in planter boxes. After only 1 month, the kids developed healthier immune systems, than children who played in yards covered with pavement or gravel.

It’s World Oceans Day, which means it’s time to show oceans some love. What can you do, to help protect or clean the ocean? Do some research and find out! Then go to an uncrowded beach to enjoy the water. Pick up any trash you find, so it doesn’t wash out to sea!
