Time For a New Carpet

Dmitry Yakukhny was training for the last 9 months, to compete in a 155-mile race in Morocco. The event was postponed because of the coronavirus, but the Russian man still wanted to stay in shape. Dmitry decided to run 62 miles of laps, around his bed! Do you think he wore a hole through the floor?

Is That Kid in Our Class?

Somebody came up with another version, of Take Your Kid To Work Day. They created Goat 2 Meeting. The Sweet Farm Animal Sanctuary will provide a virtual visit to their farm, so that a goat, cow, or llama can be a surprise guest at your next video conference call. It’ll be wild!

What’s Your Job?

Today is Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day, but that’s not really safe right now, unless your parents are working from home. Sit in on a conference call or Zoom meeting! If they’re temporarily not working, ask them to pretend you’re a new employee, and train you for their favorite job.

Thank You for a Lovely Picnic

Do you miss going out to eat? Here’s the safest way. Have a picnic! Pack a lunch and eat in your yard, on your porch, or even on your living room floor, for National Picnic Day. It’s also Cherry Cheesecake Day, so make that for dessert. Don’t forget to say thanks. It’s Thank You Day!

Today is English Language Day. Celebrate by making sure you know the difference between Y-O-U-R and Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E! You can also use old English words, like thee and thou. Dost thou know that it’s Talk Like Shakespeare Day as well? Wherefore art thou Romeo? He’s probably reading by candlelight, because it’s also World Book Night!

A Beary Cute Visitor

The Danbury Fire Department in Connecticut, found a furry visitor in their parking lot this week. It was a bear, who fled into a nearby tree. They nicknamed him Dan Berry, and relocated him to a safer location. Maybe he’s related to Smokey Bear! Only you can prevent wildfires.

You can celebrate Earth Day, by joining Jupiter Artland in Minecraft. Then, create an artistic masterpiece, for the Jupiter Artland in Minecraft Sculpture Challenge. A Compost Pile Earth Day Gift

When garbage goes into landfills, it gradually becomes a mountain of trash covered with dirt. There is no oxygen to decompose it, and the trash produces methane gas that hurts our atmosphere. Keep food and paper out of landfills, and compost it instead! A compost pile turns it into soil, in your own backyard!
