The city of Rome, in Italy, has been invaded by wild boars. At lest 5000 of the hairy pigs, which can grow to be 5 feet long and weigh 220 pounds, are living in the city’s parks. Hundreds of boars often leave the parks, to wander the streets, and rummage through garbage for food.

It’s Coffee Day! Even if they don’t like the taste of it, most people love the smell of fresh coffee. Enjoy it with a sweet, double-baked biscuit, as it’s also Biscotti Day. The long shape makes it the perfect cookie, to dunk in coffee.

In anticipation of the upcoming Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, race organizers assembled the world’s largest Lego Formula 1 racecar. The green Formula 1 model, built using 500,000 Lego bricks, is on display at Jeddah’s Red Sea Mall. The previous world record was held by Ferrari, whose Formula 1 car only used 350,000 bricks.

There’s a new shape of pasta for sale, but it’s so popular, that there’s a 12-week backorder. The noodle is called cascatelli. The word is Italian, for little waterfalls, and that’s what the noodles look like. Picture a slide with ruffled sides, that form a sauce trough. Cascatelli has great sauceability, forkability, and tooth-sinkability.

A school district in Colorado, has a massive school bus driver shortage, but 12-year-old Josh Smith, found his own way to school. He used his kayak! Josh recorded his 40-minute floating journey, with a GoPro camera. Paddling helped keep him warm, since it was only 34° Fahrenheit. At least the water wasn’t frozen yet!

Today is World Rabies Day. Louis Pasteur, who you can thank for pasteurized milk, also invented the rabies vaccine. It’s important to get your dogs and cats vaccinated, to protect them from animals that carry the deadly disease, like bats. Vaccinated animals also protect humans, in case their pet ever bites someone!

Yesterday was Daughters Day, so today is Sons Day. Maybe you’d like to celebrate with pie, for Strawberry Cream Pie Day, then play ball or tag outside with your family. Don’t forget to introduce yourself and say hi to your neighbors, for Good Neighbor Day. Maybe they’d like some pie too!

A canine in Oregon holds the new world record, for the longest ears of any dog alive. The black and tan coonhound’s ears are 12.38 inches long. When Lou’s ears are stretched out side to side, they look like wings! He’ll always have a built in scarf and eye mask.

Jane Goodall needs your help. The primatologist became famous for her research, living among chimpanzees in Tanzania. Jane’s new film, called A Trillion Trees, calls on every person and every business in the world, to plant and care for a tree in their community. If you live up North, the space weather forecast will make you happy. A hole has opened up in the Sun’s corona, unleashing coronal mass ejections and solar winds. The solar storms could create beautiful colored lights, called aurora, in the night sky. They may be visible as low as New York and Wisconsin.
