Wild Boars Roaming Around Rome

The city of Rome, in Italy, has been invaded by wild boars. At lest 5000 of the hairy pigs, which can grow to be 5 feet long and weigh 220 pounds, are living in the city’s parks. Hundreds of boars often leave the parks, to wander the streets, and rummage through garbage for food.

The word is Italian, for little waterfalls, and that’s what the noodles look like. Picture a slide with ruffled sides, that form a sauce trough. Don’t Miss the School Boat

A school district in Colorado, has a massive school bus driver shortage, but 12-year-old Josh Smith, found his own way to school. He used his kayak! Josh recorded his 40-minute floating journey, with a GoPro camera. Paddling helped keep him warm, since it was only 34° Fahrenheit. At least the water wasn’t frozen yet!

Animals Need Vaccines Too

Today is World Rabies Day. Louis Pasteur, who you can thank for pasteurized milk, also invented the rabies vaccine. It’s important to get your dogs and cats vaccinated, to protect them from animals that carry the deadly disease, like bats. Vaccinated animals also protect humans, in case their pet ever bites someone!

What Long Ears You Have!

A canine in Oregon holds the new world record, for the longest ears of any dog alive. The black and tan coonhound’s ears are 12.38 inches long. When Lou’s ears are stretched out side to side, they look like wings! He’ll always have a built in scarf and eye mask.

Curtains of Colored Light

If you live up North, the space weather forecast will make you happy. A hole has opened up in the Sun’s corona, unleashing coronal mass ejections and solar winds. The solar storms could create beautiful colored lights, called aurora, in the night sky. They may be visible as low as New York and Wisconsin.
