Lovable Little Horse

A tiny horse named Pumuckel, has a great big title. He holds the world record, for the shortest living male horse in the world! Carola Weidemann adopted him in 2020, when he was 5 months old and 18 inches tall. He’s only grown 3 more inches since then! Pumuckel is a trained therapy horse.

Fossa Pups Ready to See Visitors

The San Diego Zoo in California, introduced 3 new fossa pups. The trio of fossas, named Isalo, Fiaro and Volana, were born in July to mom and dad Kintana and Charlie, but are only now exploring outside their den. Fossas are cat-like mammals in the mongoose family, native to the rainforests of Madagascar.

New Jaguar Habitat Helps Them Survive

Today is Jaguar Day. The big cats can grow 6 feet long. Wildlife conservation efforts in Mexico have increased the Mexican jaguar population. In South America, the majority of jaguars live in the Amazon rainforest, where there is also some good news. Brazil is creating more parklands and planting millions of trees!
