Fly to Vegas for Kittens

The Las Vegas Animal Foundation, took in 3 abandoned newborn kittens. They named them Spirit, Delta, and Frontier, which are also the names of popular airlines. Frontier Airlines decided to give travel vouchers worth $500, to anyone adopting the kittens, because they were so happy to have a kitten named after them.

A Cubby for Kites

Today is Organize Your Home Day, so put your house in order. Organize all your craft supplies, then make a kite to celebrate International Kite Day. Uttarayan is a huge kite festival in Ahmedabad India. They hold kite fights, where you try and cut the other person’s strings! I’d rather just watch mine fly.

Your Bird Needs a Beret

Look out animals, because it’s Dress Up Your Pet Day! Dress your dog in a new sweater, your cat in a bow tie, and your tarantula in a tiny top hat. Stick paper clothes on your aquarium and photograph your fish at just the right angle. Reward your pets with treats for tolerating you!

Brothers That Really Get Along

4 brothers are spending lots of time together, with no chance of getting some time alone. They’re crossing the Atlantic Ocean, in a rowboat. The 2 sets of twins, named Jack, Hamish, Euan, and Arthur Friend, named their boat The FriendShip. The only time anyone’s gotten slapped so far, was by a flying fish.

Get Ready to See a Comet

Back when Neanderthals lived, a green comet, named C/2022 E3 (ZTF), passed Earth. 50,000 years later, it’s passing our planet again. The comet is about 100,000,000 miles away, and should hopefully be visible to the naked eye, by the beginning of February. The green color comes from gases it emits, as it passes the Sun.

Sticky Ducks

Rubber duckies love to float in your bathtub, keeping you company. Today is Rubber Ducky Day, so give your ducks some extra playtime! Let them stick around for Sticker Day. If you want to see unusual stickers, just go to an arts and crafts store and look in the scrapbooking section! Wowza!

It Definitely Wasn’t Me

The first Friday the 13th of the year, is Blame Someone Else Day. Now’s your chance to get into mischief, and blame it on your siblings! If someone tries to blame their fart on you, tell them whoever smelt it dealt it! When they say it wasn’t them, say whoever denied it, supplied it.

Don’t Give Up

What was your New Year’s resolution this year? Are you keeping it? If you already broke your promise to yourself, don’t worry. Today is Stick To Your New Year’s Resolution Day, so you can try again. Maybe your resolution was to be on time, but it’s never too late, to start a good habit.

A Mouthful of Marzipan

Today is Marzipan Day. Marzipan is made using almond meal, and sugar or honey. The paste can be rolled out to cover cakes, or formed into sweet edible sculptures, like tiny animals or fruits, realistically painted with food coloring. I’d like to make all the planets. You could make a pan of marzipan Marzes!
