2 men from India set a world record, by visiting all 7 continents in 3 days, 1 hour, and 5 minutes. Ali Irani and Kumar Mitra started out in Antarctica on December 4th. After stopping off in South America, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, they ended their epic journey in Australia on December 7th.

Today is Save The Eagles Day. It started in 2015, as a way to save a pair of bald eagles named Alice and Al, whose nest was threatened by developers. The day expanded, to raise awareness of the many eagles around the world. There are over 60 varieties, the largest with over 7-foot wingspans!

A Whale of a Surprise

Last week, passengers on Captain Dave’s Dolphin and Whale Watching Safari, got a big bonus. They were watching a gray whale off the coast of California, when the whale suddenly had a baby! The whale calf was about 15 feet long, and will gain 50 pounds a day while nursing from its mother.

We Never Noticed You Before

Every day, there are plant and animal species that go extinct forever. But sometimes, new species are also discovered. In 20 22, 146 new plants and animals were recorded. Researchers found previously unknown species of lizards, ants, sea creatures, and spiders, just to name a few. That’s great news for the planet.
