Today is Puppy Day! If you’re lucky enough to be stuck at home with a puppy, you’ve got the whole day to play! Those of us without poochies, can find plenty of adorable pups to watch on YouTube. ESPN, the sports tv network, also has an evening of dog shows scheduled. Woof woof!

Today is Chip And Dip Day. Try some new combinations, like french fries and ice cream! It’s also Chia Day. Tiny chia seeds are full of nutrients, so you can add them to anything for a healthy boost. Or, you can plant them on clay shapes, and grow your own Chia-Pet!

The California Science Center is closed to the public, like many other museums around the world. Employees decided to give the resident rats a chance to see the exhibits. Some rats used exercise balls, while others hitched a ride on humans. They loved looking at the Kelp Forest!

A pregnant woman in Missouri, went into labor, while she was shopping for supplies in Walmart. Another customer who was a nurse, helped her give birth to her baby right there, in the toilet paper aisle! Since everyone’s sold out of toilet paper, it was probably the emptiest spot in the store.

Have you heard of tottwaffles? Ada Powers makes them, by thawing out a bag of frozen tater tots, then cooking them in a waffle iron. The crispy potatoey waffle, might fall apart, but don’t worry about it! Tottwaffles naturally need to be topped, with warm syrupchup. Half maple syrup + half ketchup, equals tot-ally delicious.

Today is World Water Day. This year, the United Nations is focusing on Water and Climate Change. Take me home, country roads. Today is West Virginia Day. When Virginia seceded from the Union, during the time of the Civil War, the western part refused to join the Confederates. It formed the 35th state of West Virginia instead. Okay, you learned something. Now you’re excused to enjoy Goof Off Day! Have fun!

13-year-old Zaila Avant-Garde, is a star on her school’s basketball team in New Orleans Louisiana. She’s also a world record holder! She’s a ball-handling master, able to dribble 4 balls at the same time. Her record-breaking feat, was bounce-juggling 3 basketballs 231 times, in 1 minute! Zaila hopes to play professional basketball in the WNBA someday.

The NASA Insight lander is exploring the surface of Mars. It was using a digging probe, nicknamed mole, to burrow through the clumpy soil, when the mole got stuck. NASA solved the problem, by telling Insight to hit itself. It used a robotic arm to whack the mole, and successfully unstuck it.
